Guidelines for Flag Banner Claims

Feather Banner and other flag banner damages and claims can be caused by a variety of reasons. The following are general guidelines for claims that are covered by our warranty and those that are not.

Claims that are covered:

Claims covered by our warranty include damages caused by manufacturer defects. This may include major color differences from the approved critical color match number (PMS Color Code), uncommon pre-mature wear and tear on the printed flag or on the poles caused by manufacturers defects.

Claims that are not covered:

Feather Banners and other Flag Banners are designed for normal daily promotional uses. They should be installed properly and not be used in extreme weather conditions. These include but are not limited to, winds in excess of 40MPH, storms and blizzard conditions.

1. Damaged under extreme weather conditions

Feather Banners and other Flag Banners are not designed to be used in extreme weather conditions. These include but are not limited to winds in excess of 40MPH, storms and blizzard conditions. Please take down the flag banners and safely store when extreme weather conditions are expected. Failure to do so might cause pre-mature damages on both the poles and flags.

2. Improper Installation:

A. Improper Spike Base installation

The spike base should be placed with the rotating connector above ground at all times, allowing rotating movement to reduce the wind damage.Placing the spike base too far into the ground might cause pre-mature damage to the base pole or ripped flag.

B. The tip of the pole was not inserted all the way into the re-inforced sleeve top.

All our feather banners are stitched with a reinforced portion at the very end of the flag sleeve, where you can insert the pole and setup the banner. If the tip of the pole was not inserted all the way into the reinforced sleeve top, the tip of the ple might pierce a hole in the sleeve of the flag.

C. Not using the tension cords.

If your model comes with a tension cord, please make sure you are using it to connect your flag to the base pole. Using other solutions like zip ties or strips might cause pre-mature damage to your base pole and flag.

D. Tension cord pulled too tightly.

The flag is made to the shape during production. Your flag just needs a little bit of tension to look perfect. Please do not pull the tension cord too tightly it might cause pre-mature damage to the top of the flag and the base pole.

3. Damage by force

Flags and hardware that have been damaged by force (whether intentional or otherwise) are not covered by warranty.

For example, flags that have been caught on fencing etc and have torn will not be replaced via warranty claim. Another example is landscapers cutting the base poles.
