How Tall Should a Retractable Banner Be?
For most indoor events, 79″ to 92″ is the sweet spot: tall enough to clear heads in a crowd, short enough for standard ceilings. Fixed-height stands like the Standard (79″) are the simplest. Height-adjustable stands offer more flexibility when you don’t control the room.
- Fixed height (79″–81″): Economy, Standard, Premium and Wide Standard 48″. Set up once and done.
- Three height settings (69″, 80″ or 92″): Silverstep 36″ and 48″. Good for teams that use the same stand on stages and show floors.
- Fully adjustable (30″–94.5″): Interchangeable Flex series. A telescoping support pole lets you lower it for a seated audience or a tight space. You can also raise it to stand out on a busy floor.

How Many Retractable Banners Fit in a 10×10 Booth?
A 10×10 booth has a 120″ back wall, so it fits three 33.5″ banners, two 48″ banners, or one 90″ backdrop. The best choice depends on whether you want one continuous graphic or panels you can split up for smaller events.

No. Retractable banners are easy to set up at every size: pull the graphic up and attach it to the support pole. What changes is weight:
- A Standard 33.5″ stand weighs about 7 lbs.
- A Silverstep 60″ weighs about 40 lbs.
- The 8 ft backdrop weighs about 43 lbs.
Every stand sits on an aluminum base. The Silverstep models add a wide aluminum base with adjustable feet for extra stability on wider graphics.

How Do You Size Artwork for a Retractable Banner?
Always design on the design template for your exact model. Sizes that look alike are different (33″ x 81″ vs. 33.5″ x 79″), and a file built for the wrong size can crop your logo. Download templates from our templates & assembly page.
- Put the important things up top. Your logo and headline belong in the upper part of the banner, at or above eye level. The bottom sits close to the floor.
- Stay inside the safe lines. The red lines on our templates mark where to keep text and logos.

Which Banner Material and Turnaround Time Should You Expect?
Lush Banners offers retractable banner printing in three main materials. These are 13oz matte vinyl, 18oz PET vinyl, and 9oz polyester fabric. Which ones you can choose depends on the model. On the Standard model, regular production takes 3 business days, and a 1-business-day rush option is available.
Both materials give you premium quality, high-resolution prints.

What is the widest retractable banner Lush Banners offers?
The 8ft Retractable Backdrop (Premium Magnetic) has a 90″ x 92″ graphic. Magnetic add-on units in 33.5″ and 60″ widths connect side by side to build a wider wall.
Are retractable banners double-sided?
They can be. Our Double-Sided Premium and Interchangeable Flex Double stands print 33.5″ wide on both sides. Each side can use the same graphic or a different one. Most other models print on a single side.
Can I replace just the graphic later?
Yes, on Interchangeable Flex models, which use a magnetic graphic exchange. Standard and Premium models have fixed graphics, and you should seek professional help for replacements.
Can you use retractable banners outdoors?
Manufacturers design retractables mainly for indoor use. We designed our Outdoor Retractable Banner Stand for temporary outdoor use. Its base includes a built-in drain to collect water.
How soon will my retractable banner arrive?
Arrival depends on three things: how quickly you approve your proof and pay, the production speed you choose, and your shipping method. The Standard model’s regular production time is 3 business days.

What are the red lines on the artwork template?
